#28daysoflovepoems by Kiara
Hey writer
Where you been
I see the dust on your notebook and
I see the dust on your pen
24 hours in a day but
Them hours stray and they drift away when
Life gets hard
I know
It’s the stuff on your job and it’s the stuff at home
To-do lists pile up in the day.. and at night? Down you go, down the rabbit hole on your phone
Listless and shiftless
Farther and farther from your pen
Hey writer, where you been?
The world is on fire and things have gone awry and
Life is hard but all you want to do is write but
Bills have to be paid and beds have to be made because bread and butter costs and your kids are starvin’
Living life in the margins in the physical and in thought
Go get your bread but just know it costs to keep abandoning your thoughts and your head and…
Your paper…
Living in the margins of your paper
Scribbles and scratches
Dear paper chaser
Pick up that pen
Dear paper chaser
Stop runnin’ from what’s within
Stop runnin.
I really wanna see you again…
Love,
Your words unwritten
Everyday in February 2026, The House of Psalm will post an original poem about love — self-love, romantic love, parental love and so much more. #28daysoflovepoems | IG @thehouseofpsalm @kiaraleewrites
