#28daysoflovepoems by Kiara
Mind, body, soul full of fury
Too mad, too much in her head
Too learned and too concerned about
What Uncle Sam and Uncle Tom said
To write about love
She is
In over her head
Reeling in other feelings
That remain unsaid
Her needs
They remain unmet by
Systems and institutions
That breadcrumb with no bread and
No real solutions
Hungry and thirsty
Her soul stays unfed
She is vocal about her starvation but
Silent about her heart
Eventually when it’s all said and done
A heavy head will suffocate the heart
She don’t write love letters now but
Boy she better start
Pen to paper and
Letters to words
Sort out those feelings
Just her, her nouns and her verbs
She can start writing so she can stop fighting
To be seen and
To be heard
She don’t write love letters now but
Boy she better start
I don’t write love letters now but
Boy I better start
Everyday in February 2026, The House of Psalm will post an original poem about love — self-love, romantic love, parental love and so much more. #28daysoflovepoems | IG @thehouseofpsalm @kiaraleewrites
