#28daysoflovepoems by Kiara Lee

I wanna spend a Saturday evening on the couch in my underwear and

In my solitude with

Some home cooked food and some candles to

Set the mood because

There’s never enough time to love on myself

She’s always rushing

Rushing out that door with that half empty cup

Thinking it’s somebody else’s job to fill it up but

All fountains don’t work and all water ain’t safe

I gotta tell her to her face to

Slow down

I gotta fill her cup up

Even though time and time again

My water, my tea, my milk, my gin

Ain’t been enough for that half empty cup

She don’t know what’s good for her

That cup is so raggedy

It makes me wanna cry

It makes me wanna tell her on Saturday

I gotta save her on Saturday before her well runs dry

Everyday in February 2026, The House of Psalm will post an original poem about love — self-love, romantic love, parental love and so much more. #28daysoflovepoems | IG @thehouseofpsalm @kiaraleewrites
