#28daysoflovepoems by Kiara Lee
on life’s coldest days this little being teaches me about love and about warmth
the warmth from us both is visceral
it’s loving
we are one and we are becoming
it’s a beautiful thing
when it rains I like to watch her try to collect the raindrops with her little hands
one by one
drop by drop
even in the worst of storms
she shows me how to learn a lesson in the rain
she reminds me that life’s pain is never in vain
and when the wind blows
she laughs so hard
those giggles, innocent and sweet
they tell me that even when troubled waters come rolling in to sweep me off my feet
even at high tide
I can laugh while I ride
the waves meant to rock my boat
with hair curly and wooly like Jesus
with love so tender and omniscient like God
to think when it all began
I nearly lost my life
bringing in this new life
and in that wearied state
I begged God not to take me yet
and I told Him that me and my baby
we got things to do
the most precious thing I’ve ever known
she is my heart
she is art and
she is home
the prettiest thing I ever did see
I was made for her and she
she was made for me
far beyond the bible lives the most beautiful scripture I could ever read
she was born in the wee hours on January 14th

Everyday in February 2026, The House of Psalm will post an original poem about love — self-love, romantic love, parental love and so much more. #28daysoflovepoems | IG @thehouseofpsalm @kiaraleewrites
